Our Bay of Islands garden covers 2 hectares. It showcases Robin Booths lifetime collection of rare and unusual plants. Wharepuke Subtropical Garden is awarded “Garden of Significance” NZGT. A new development is the sculpture trail along the garden path of approx 35 changing works from artists from around NZ

Wharepuke Subtropical Gardens
Robin Booth has a special interest in aloe, agave, bromeliads, bamboo, orchids, subtropical fruiting plants and dry and humid climate plants.
The garden with the sculpture trail is open all year but guided groups must pre book.
Cuttings, seed or divisions are sometimes available for purchase.
Garden Tour 1 – Personal Tour by Robin Booth
2-8 people max
An interactive tour that takes from 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours.
Look, taste, touch, smell and possibly take home cuttings or seeds.
Eco Tour 2 – Bus group -tour of property by Robin Booth

8 – 25 people Duration about 1 hour.
Large bus groups are often divided into 2 groups. One group first having either morning/afternoon tea or lunch and then the garden walk.
